Ceramide & Hyaluronic Acid Moisturiser

Re'equil

Ceramide & Hyaluronic Acid Moisturiser

Rich three-ceramide barrier cream with squalane and plant oils at under ₹4 a gram — superb value, let down by added fragrance.

Is Re'equil Ceramide Moisturiser good for dry skin?

For normal to dry skin on a budget, yes: three ceramides with phytosphingosine, squalane and panthenol make a properly built barrier cream at under ₹4 a gram. It contains fragrance, though, so skip it if your skin is sensitive or reactive.

Our Take

On paper this is a close cousin of CeraVe's cream at well under half the price per gram: the current tube carries three ceramides (EOP, NP and AP — the “I, III, VI” on the front) with phytosphingosine and phytosterols, plus squalane, panthenol, jojoba and borage seed oils in a rich, ester-heavy base. That is a properly built barrier cream, and at an MRP of ₹395 for 100 g — under ₹4 a gram — the value is hard to fault. The catch is fragrance, which Re'equil's own site calls a “soothing fragrance”, in a cream whose listing promises to calm irritation in sensitive or stressed skin; for that audience, perfume is exactly what we'd leave out. We'd also note that Re'equil's website still publishes an older ingredient list with a single ceramide, so if you buy anywhere other than this listing, check the back of the tube. And the “19.3% firmer skin” figure, from a 36-person study, is the kind of claim a moisturiser should not need to make.

What we like

  • ✓ Three ceramides with phytosphingosine and phytosterols
  • ✓ Squalane, panthenol, jojoba and borage oils
  • ✓ 100 g for ₹395 MRP — well under half CeraVe's price per gram
  • ✓ Rich enough for genuinely dry skin

Worth knowing

  • → Fragrance in a cream pitched at sensitive skin
  • → Brand website still lists an older, single-ceramide formula
  • → Heavy, ester-rich base for oily or acne-prone skin
  • → Firmness claim rests on a 36-person study

What buyers report

Recent Amazon reviews consistently describe a hydrating cream that absorbs well without leaving skin oily, and a few add that a little goes a long way and the price is fair. Complaints about the cream itself are rare, though one buyer suggested it may feel too oily for some. None of the reviews mention its added fragrance or any stinging.
